Draft — placeholders in [brackets] must be completed and the text reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

Alpha software

Broglie is in closed alpha. It is provided “as is”, features may change or disappear, and access may be limited, suspended or ended at any time.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Broglie for your own engineering work for the period shown on your license. You may not resell, share your account, or reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the application or its license checks, except where the law does not allow this restriction.

Revocation and expiry

A license can expire or be revoked, for example for misuse or a breach of these terms. The application may stop working when its license is no longer valid.

Industrial and safety use

Broglie can read and, when you enable the corresponding options, modify TIA Portal projects. You are responsible for reviewing every change, for testing it (for example on a simulator) before it reaches a live plant, and for complying with the safety standards and procedures that apply to your installation. Broglie is not a certified functional-safety tool and does not replace your own verification and validation.

Your data and third-party services

You keep all rights to your projects and data. Features that use third-party services (such as AI translation) require your own account and API key and are subject to those providers’ terms.

Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Broglie is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost production, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim [or a fixed amount during the free alpha]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state], and the courts of [city, country] have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have.
